Student Assesment Results Meeting Wednesday

FORT DAVIS, TX (Ben Caxton) — Fort Davis ISD Superintendent Graydon Hicks said last week that the students and staff did a remarkable job last school year. He was referring to the 2016-2017 achievement scores. The District has announced a public meeting on Wednesday to discuss the accountability ratings. Parents and community members are invited to the FDISD Board room at 400 Webster Avenue at 4:00 Pm to hear the final results. Hicks has previously said that the school met all standards with 67% of students passing all tests last year. 62% passed reading, 63% writing, 71% social studies, 72% mathematics, and 75% science, with most categories showing improvement over the previous year. And Hicks hinted the District may also be in the running for “distinction designations” in math, and science. To find out, head to the meeting on Wednesday.
