Man Smuggling Heroin Caught At Presidio Crossing

PRESIDIO (Ben Caxton) — A man entering Texas at the Presidio border crossing Tuesday was arrested for attempting to transport black tar heroin into the United States. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials say the 33-year-old man, who was not identified, applied for entry and was selected for a secondary exam. A K9 agent reportedly alerted to narcotics during the second exam and the man was transported to a local medical facility. At the medical facility, the man expelled 4.49 ounces of black tar heroin. The man was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security for investigation.
