Fort Davis Students Headed To Alpine Wednesday

FORT DAVIS, TX (Ben Caxton) — Kids and Kows will get closeup and personal Wednesday in Alpine at Sul Ross State University. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade from Fort Davis ISD along with students from across the Trans Pecos will attend the annual event called Kids, Kows & More. The exhibition lets kids experience the world of agriculture up close. The events are designed to give kids a little taste of all types of agriculture in their area with real hands-on experiences and activities that teach children about cows and other farm animals, the cattle industry, cotton growers, cheese-making, and more. The Expo is free and starts at 9:30 AM at the Sale Arena in Alpine and is sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, the Presidio, Jeff Davis, and Brewster County Extension Offices, and the Southwest Dairy Farmers.
