County Library Joins Worldwide Reading Program Today

JEFF DAVIS COUNTY, TX (Ben Caxton) — Jeff Davis County Library patrons will join more than 2.3 million people worldwide today by participating in the world’s largest shared reading experience. At 4:00 PM staff will read “Quackers” by Liz Wong, a story that follows a kitten who grows up believing he’s a duck, until the days he meets another kitten. All ages are welcome. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is an annual campaign by the national early education organization and was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for every child.
