Brewster County Accident Spawns 2nd Collision


VALENTINE, TX (Ben Caxton) — Two people were injured in a late Monday night accident in Brewster County. The Brewster County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that their deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 385 around 11:00 pm. When the deputies arrived on scene they found a crash involving a minivan and an RV. An investigation of the scene revealed that the minivan was driving northbound when it crashed into a guardrail, ejecting two of seven passengers. A few minutes later an RV driving northbound crashed into the then unoccupied minivan. The two passengers that were ejected were transported to the hospital. No other major injuries were reported. The sheriff’s office reported that local citizens provided transportation and overnight housing to the stranded passengers of both vehicles.
