Big Bend Telephone Wireless Starts This Week

MARFA (Ben Caxton) — CBS7.com tweeted a story this weekend that Big Bend Telephone would be introducing new wireless services starting Wednesday, February 15th. They quoted Big Bend General Manager Rusty Moore as saying he wants to “help rejuvenate smaller communities through technology.” Big Bend serves the majority of the Marfa area. Moore received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Texas Telephone Association in September of 2016. AMA TechTel, which concentrates on serving smaller, isolated communities, has proposed new telephone and internet services for Valentine. Contract negotiations with the city are underway and expected to be completed soon.
