Alpine Livestock Show “Steers” Into its Second Day

ALPINE (Ben Caxton) – The three day livestock show in Alpine moves into its second day today. Steers, then horses will be on display by Southwest Texas 4H and FFA members. Judging today’s animals will be Kristi Hardcastle of Midland. Food is available for visitors from concession stands all day. The show wraps up tomorrow with the swine exhibits, followed by a social hour and awards presentations at 6:00pm, then the closing auction starting at 7:00pm. This years auctioneer is Rusty Metnik of League City. If you’re interested you can bid in person, or by phone. The event is being held at the “Chute”, the Alpine Civic Center.
